Article Title: Multiple myeloma: Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology™
Abstract: Although multiple myeloma is sensitive to both chemotherapy and radiation therapy, it remains incurable. However, treatment algorithms (based on published data and clinical experience) can be developed to optimize therapy, which include not only therapy for the underlying disease but also supportive therapy to enhance quality of life. These guidelines prominently identify the clinical settings appropriate for treatment of patients on clinical research protocols. © Journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.
