Article Title: Incidence of 5' bcl-2 rearrangement in patients with B cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia from India
Abstract: The incidence of B cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B-CLL) is lower in Asian countries, including India, when compared with Western countries. The bcl-2 gene rearrangement was restricted to the 5' region and seen in only one of the 20 Indian patients analyzed. The incidence remains similar to that reported from Western and Japanese institutions.
