Abstract: In this chapter, we describe the considerations for, and process of adapting, a psychotherapeutic intervention. We provide a brief review of the efficacy of interventions developed, adapted, or delivered to Latino cancer patients; describe the therapy concepts and applicability of these concepts to the patient population; present the conceptual frameworks, plan, process, and methods used in adapting meaning-centered psychotherapy, which is the source of the cultural adaptation; and describe the future directions of the cultural adaptation program.
