Article/Chapter Title: Case B: Unsuspected invasion and upstaging in lentigo maligna melanoma
Abstract: Lentigo maligna (LM) and lentigo maligna melanoma (LMM) present challenges for diagnosis and treatment due to their clinical similarity to solar lentigos and frequent development in a background of sun damaged skin. They are frequently large lesions at the time of diagnosis, located along anatomically sensitive areas, and can be difficult to sample completely for pathology given clinical size and location. We present a case illustrating the many challenges in managing LMM. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2017.
